Vote Description
This was a vote on amendment #136 to H.3900, the House FY24 Budget. This amendment strikes out the provision that excludes the revenue generated by the new income surtax amendment from the calculation established in the chapter 62F tax rebate law. This would mean a higher trigger for when the tax rebate law would kick in. MassFiscal supports a yes vote supporting good government practices. The original language which this amendment sought to remove was a carveout for special interest groups. Chapter 62F should apply equally to all state spending, just as the voters intended.
