A Vote to Address Round Two of Governor Baker's Budget Vetoes House #147
Vote Description
This was a vote on FY18 Budget, H3800, to suspend House rule 7A and take up Governor Baker's Budget vetoes for override. This was to initiate the second round of veto overrides.
Mass Fiscal Explanation
Mass Fiscal supports a no vote because overriding budget cuts at a time when our state's fiscal health is volatile, isn't responsible. We have continuously seen revenues come in under benchmark, our legislature has underfunded necessities such as snow and ice removal, we have the highest debt per capita in the nation, and our FY18 budget comes in at a whopping $40B.
