Vote Description
This was a vote on Amendment #10 to H2017, the House Rules, which would require that four members of the ethics committee be appointed by the Speaker and four by the Minority Leader. http://www.mass.gov/legis/journal/RollCallPdfs/190/00012.pdf?Session=190&RollCall=00012
Mass Fiscal Explanation
Mass Fiscal supports a yes vote because we believe this amendment increases integrity in government. Currently this is an 11-member committee with only four being required to be appointed by the minority leader.
