Vote Description
This was a vote to on amendment #8 to H.4087, An Act relative to campaign finance. This bill changes who appoints the Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF) director, taking it from a fair system that has existed for 45 years with no abuses, to a one sided system, squeezing out the input of the minority party. Amendment #8 amends the section of the bill dealing with how the commission to appoint an OCPF director is picked. It would require that each of the two major political parties are represented with at least one commissioner, and tat they have been registered with their party for at least three years.
