Advanced Release of Legislative Calendar Senate #4

Vote Description

This was a vote on Amendment #3 to S8, the Senate Rules, which would require a legislative calendar for informal sessions to be available to members and the public at least one day before session. https://malegislature.gov/Bills/190/S8/Amendments/Senate

Mass Fiscal Explanation

Mass Fiscal supports a yes vote because we believe this amendment increases transparency. Often times, there will be no way for the pubic, or even legislators to know what bills they might be taking up in the calendar that day until they arrive. This amendment calls simply for a one day heads-up.
