2018 Sales Tax Holiday Senate #382
Vote Description
This vote was on amendment #9 to the Senate Budget, S.4. This amendment called for a two day state sales tax holiday in August of 2018.
Mass Fiscal Explanation
MassFiscal supports this amendment because we believe we are already in tough competition with our neighboring states, one of which has no sales tax, and this amendment would give Massachusetts residents an opportunity to support local small businesses and the local economy while being able to save what they would have in another state.
