Senate Health Care Cost Containment Reform Bill Senate #279
Vote Description
This bill adds new unnecessary regulations that could prohibit future cost savings and while the bill claims to focus on bringing down costs, it has been projected that the savings would total less than .2% by 2020. The bill could also lead to unintended consequences that would cost people much more in the future, and put government in charge of regulating your health care needs.
Mass Fiscal Explanation
Mass Fiscal does not support this bill due to lack of prudent fiscal reform, potential to increase the cost burden, and add unnecessary red tape.
