48 Hours Review Time for Conference Committee Reports Senate #4
Vote Description
This was a vote on amendment #10 to S.15, Proposed Joint Rules for the 2025-2026 Legislative Session. This amendment requires a minimum of 48 hours before consideration of conference committee reports, and requires the reports must be filed by 5:00 p.m. on the filing day. Conference committee reports are pieces of legislation that come out of a closed door reconciliation process, and have in the past, involved measures not previously included in past approved versions. Allowing for time to review the legislation before being expected to vote on it is best practice. Link to bill: https://malegislature.gov/Bills/194/S15
